The Spring/Summer 2024 season of Paris Fashion Week has come and gone in a swift yet hectic week. With back to back shows and memorable moments that included Sarah Burton’s farewell to Alexander McQueen, Marni’s eclectically vibrant and stripped collection and Anthony Vaccarello’s inspection of historically female aviators for Saint Laurent.

When it comes to the September to October fashion week window, the weather is often unpredictable. Paris days could easily be filled with blazing rays of sun and in a turn of moment, torrential downpour. This season saw showgoers dress in casual layering to keep themselves prepared for the ever changing weather in the city of Paris. While color palettes were muted, with many sticking to classic black, white and tan hues, details were in the silhouettes and the texture of the pieces. From all leather get ups to distressed denim to casual t-shirts and trousers, one thing is certain is that comfort is at the center of styling. Even the oversized Rick Owens jacket is synonymous with a fluffy cloud.

Cardigans and knitted vests bring the texture and colour to the streets. Accessories like the Loewe Wave Mask sunglasses give attendees an element of mystery and a dramatic focal point amongst their outfits. Stars from all over the world descended upon Paris, including the likes ofPeggy Gou, Usher, Erykah Badu and Jennie from BLACKPINK. Take a look above at some of the best streetwear outfits we saw at PFW SS24.
