Alexander McQueen Pre-SS24 Centers on Cut and Proportion
Exquisitely classic.
Following Sarah Burton’s recent departure from Alexander McQueen after 26 years, fans and fashion onlookers across the globe are patiently waiting to see what direction the British house heads in. As has been previously announced, Seán McGirr is taking the reins as Alexander McQueen’s new creative director. But until McGirr presents his debut collection, Alexander McQueen has revealed its new menswear Pre-Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
Once again, the fashion house’s craft centers on a vision of tailoring for its menswear. Although it remains a brand signature for the Alexander McQueen man, the British house continues to elevate its view season after season. This time around, the offering focuses on cut and proportion – illustrating that the devil always lies in the details.
Suiting takes form in streamlined double-breasted and single-breasted constructions. Bringing character to the classic tailoring are embroidered embellishments, faded artistic prints, jeweled dragonfly details and simply precisely cut silhouettes.
Alongside the sleek shapes, the house also adds in sport and technical details via jackets with utility pockets, sharply cut shorts and pants with elasticated hems. Elsewhere in the collection, you’ll find button-down tops alongside accessories like jewelry, belts and footwear.
Take a closer look at the offering in the gallery above. Alexander McQueen’s Pre-Spring/Summer 2024 collection is available now in-store and online.
In case you missed it, Advisry’s Keith Herron designs with the artist in mind.
