This season, Robe di Kappa looks back on five decades of crafting archetypal casualwear garments to relaunch its original polo shirt in a timeless array of colorways.

Debuting in 1969, the namesake Robe di Kappa Polo was amongst the Italian brand’s first-ever creations, dropping alongside its military-inspired T-shirts and jackets. The collared top was adapted from similar models appearing in sports – notably in polo and tennis – with new materials, bold color options and the “Omni” logo placed on the chest. Making its mark in the seventies, the Robe di Kappa Polo became intrinsic to subcultural uniforms and the overall casualwear scene in Italy.

For the latest drop, the brand pays homage to this iconic era by reviving the original style released in 1969. The heritage piece looks to maintain classic details, featuring the same slim-line silhouette with cuffs and minimal applications. While its modern range of polo shirts come crafted in thick weave cotton piquè, the latest version comes reworked in a fine wool knit, giving the piece a premium feel.

Other features include a three-button fastening and an embroidered logo. Adding to the classic feel of the piece, Robe di Kappa drops short and long-sleeved polo shirts in an array of staple colorways such as Navy, Maroon, Red Tibetan and Dark Green, making it easy to style with smarter bottoms and jackets.

Take a closer look at the new offering in the gallery above. To shop the new Robe di Kappa polo, head to the brand’s website now.
