Streetwear brands, luxury labels and footwear imprints are constantly battling nowadays to see who can design the most innovative slides, clogs and mules. With Ye out of the picture (for now) in the sportswear realm so there’s a gap in the market for fashion-forward slides, so John Geiger is attempting to capitalize on the moment. The streetwear designer has just announced his new JG Slide that’s set to release during the Spring ‘23 season.

In an effort to be more Earth-conscious, Geiger crafts his new footwear silhouette with a biodegradable EVA foam. A trio of tonal colorways have been unveiled thus far that include a pale green, bold red and an all-black variation. The upper is branded with a “g” logo that spreads across both feet while his signature insignia is implanted into the heel of the footbed. Down below, the kicks are molded with a toothy outsole that is reminiscent of Ye’s YEEZY SLIDE, only the spikes here curve up towards the middle of the model for a slight bit of extra flair. Additionally, the phrase, “Too Many No’s Not Enough O’s” wraps around the heel with raised letters.
