BEAMS and NEEDLES Ring in 2023 With a Mohair Cardigan Capsule
The striped, bespoke garments come in green and blue colorways.
NEEDLES has taken the first two days out of this fresh year to come out strong with two collaborative initiatives. Keizo Shimizu‘s Japanese imprint has linked up with Reebok to produce a Beatnik Moc collection as well as a mohair cardigan assemblage alongside BEAMS, the latter of which has now just been unveiled.
The cardigan is a signature piece to the NEEDLES brand as it tends to be reworked in many different colorways and patterns every season. For this initiative, the two Japanese fashion powerhouses have joined hands to craft it in exquisite colorways. Both are styled with striped motifs and come in green and blue palettes. The mohair alternates between various shades of both hues to create a gradient aesthetic and effect in vertical form across the front and the back. Both also come with black buttons that are covered in glossy finishes. The only branding that is present is through the NEEDLES tags that feature the company’s traditional golden cursive lettering.
If interested in these warm, winter-ready pieces, BEAMS JAPAN has the cardigans available right now on its site for ¥30,800 (approx. $236 USD) a piece.
In case you missed it, WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto recently released a tracksuit collaboration with NEEDLES.
