Perrelet Shakes Things Up With a Hentai-Themed Turbine Erotic Watch
The unexpected watch costs $4,900 USD.
Perrelet, the inventors of the self-winding mechanism in automatic watches, has just released a very unexpected Swiss watch inspired by the Hentai genre of manga. Named the Turbine Erotic, the watch brand — with roots dating back to the year 1777 — fitted the signature double-rotor Turbine with an X-rated graphic in shades of gray, black, and red, where the entire erotic scene presents itself when the jet engine-inspired 12-blade turbine begins to rotate.
When not in motion, the entire image is “censored” behind the blades. While erotic-themed watches are nothing new (think the Ulysse Nardin Hourstriker or the Jacob & Co. Caligula) this is one of the rare instances where Hentai has been the main attraction for a luxury mechanical watch. Those interested can find it now over at Perrelet’s website where it is limited to 50 pieces and sells for €4,550 EUR (approximately $4,900 USD).
