Gangsta Boo of Three 6 Mafia Has Died at Age 43
A pioneer in female hip-hop.
Memphis legend and former member of Three 6 Mafia Lola Chantrelle Mitchell, AKA Gangsta Boo, has reportedly died at the age of 43. Taking part in five studio albums with Three 6 on top of a solo career and work with Run The Jewels, Gangsta Boo will be remembered as a pioneer in female hip-hop.
While not yet confirmed, sources have indicated that there is a chance that the hip-hop legend died due to overdosing on a fentanyl-laced drug at a concert in Memphis. Some of Gangsta Boo’s closest collaborators took to Instagram to pay their respects to the late artist.
