AURALEE FW23 Sees Upgraded Tailoring Soothed in Pastel Tones
Giving a first look at its next New Balance collaboration in the works.

Japan-based label AURALEE has returned to the Paris Fashion Week stage to present its Fall/Winter 2023 offering, proving that sleek and simple garments can be elevated anytime, anywhere.
As is customary for the brand, all forms of branding, lettering, and unnecessary logos are stripped and replaced with upgraded tailoring drenched in gentle pastel hues. The collection communicates of sense of dexterity and softness as every look is relaxed and soothed with mellow design details.
For menswear, staple wool coats are paired with mock neck pullovers and joggers in supple tones of cream, while gradient blue hues outfit oversized shirting and puffed outerwear tied at the waist. Cropped anoraks reveal tinted layers beneath, standing alongside mismatched checkered suits and knitted underpinnings enhanced by XL scarves that snuggly the body in teal, brown, and beige hues.
In the womenswear department, slouchy formalwear is adorned with silk shawls and asymmetrical shirts that adhere from models down the runway. Fuzzy sweaters and pastel-colored puffer jackets are accented with matching trousers, while crochet bralettes follow similar cardigans woven to perfection.
AURALEE also presents a fresh New Balance collaboration on-feet, which succeeds its 2002R, XC-72, RC30, and 550 collaborations seen in past seasons. The label now takes the New Balance 1906R in its grasp, dipping it in three discolored hues. Presented in blue, white, and beige, AURALEE gives a first glimpse of its latest design, which seems tonally worn-out and accented with vintage detailing.
