Alternative/indie superstar Billie Eilish is now the new face of Gucci’s latest eyewear campaign. Given the artist’s affinity for the Italian luxury house through an array of head-to-toe looks, it only makes sense that her vibrant style now surfaces in the house’s new campaign.
With an eye-catching film noir aesthetic, the campaign reveals the singer-songwriter on a scenic voyage through Los Angeles’ renowned hills. Enveloping the visuals are vintage cars in vibrant shades of fuchsia and baby blue, which dually present a romantically retro feeling. In the video’s end, Eilish comes to a lookout point to meet up with who seems to be a love interest, which happens to be herself.
From shots of driving to sitting in the car, the two sunglasses styles invoke the same alluring mood of the campaign. The first new frame is the caravan sunglasses in black acetate with a gold-toned Gucci script logo. For a livelier and retro-inspired option, a pink 80’s-inspired oversized cat-eye frame with a Gucci script logo makes its way into the fold. Whether it be classic or fun hues, Gucci’s new eyewear collection blends both classic and contemporary design styles.
