The Labor Day Weekend celebrations are now behind us, and for the second week of September, all of the most popular sportswear companies have prepared a cornucopia of release heat. Over the next several days, Nike, New Balance, adidas and others are in the mix to roll out new collaborative projects and GRs, but prior to us breaking these down for you, let’s first take a step back and look at all of the biggest sneaker news headlines that erupted last week.

On the exclusives front, our weekly Sole Mates series featured SOULGOODS co-founder Ji Ming to highlight his love for the Air Jordan 1. Moving on to the news item, Jordan Brand generated a sizable amount of buzz last week. Retro offerings like the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” and Air Jordan 13 “Playoffs” are confirmed to make their return in 2023, Jayson Tatum’s signature sneaker with the brand is in the works and the Air Jordan 37 “Beyond Borders” was officially unveiled.

The Swoosh team unleashed some heavy hitters as well. The UNDERCOVER x Nike Air Force 1/Air Revaderchi was unveiled, rumors of Ja Morant’s signature model started to brew, official photos of the CPFM x Nike Dunk Low surfaced and the trademark infringement lawsuit with John Geiger was settled.

Other noise-making kicks that emerged last week include Ye’s adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 CMPCT “Panda” colorway, PLEASURES’ ASICS GEL-LYTE III capsule, an upcoming New Balance 2002R “Protection Pack” iteration, Joe Freshgoods’ FW22 New Balance collaborations and UNDERCOVER’s Clarks Originals Wallabee team-up.

Now that we’ve got you all updated with the latest in sneakers, let’s get into this week’s top 10 drops below. When you conclude there, be sure to browse the HBX online shop for more footwear styles.

Jordan System.23 Clog “Sail/Cement Grey”

Release Date: September 7
Release Price: $110 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: It was only a matter of time, but Jordan Brand is finally getting in on the clog train by releasing its new Jordan System.23 Clog. The two-way silhouette features a creamy exoskeleton that is ventilated across the toe box and comes with a small slit on the heels, while the interior bootie is designed with Jordan’s signature cement patterns for some heritage-inspired flair.

TITAN x Nike LeBron 19 Low

Release Date: September 8
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: TITAN
Why You Should Cop: TITAN and LeBron James have formed a real kinship as the two continue to find ways to keep working with each other. And prior to the start of the King’s 20th season in the league, the Manila-based retailer has lent its touch to his LeBron 19 Low by sprucing it up in a regal white and gold palette that celebrates the globe’s universal love for the game. Two quotes from James that nod to his affinity for the Philippines also show face on the lateral forefoot of the midsoles.

Supreme x Nike SB Blazer Mid

Release Date: September 8
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: Supreme
Why You Should Cop: Supreme and Nike have a penchant for linking up for collaborative projects every season, and to kick off FW22 on a strong note, the two are slated to revisit the SB Blazer Mid. Clearly a call back to the duo’s iconic team-up from 2006, this latest collection features two colorways that bring back the quilted uppers. One pair is done up with an understated black palette while the other gravitates towards a blue denim theme.

Nike Dunk Low “Medium Olive”

Release Date: September 9
Release Price: $110 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: At the rate that Nike is going with its classic Dunk, you can almost always expect a new colorway to release every week. Lined up to kick off the month of September 2022 is the Dunk Low “Medium Olive” variation which comes ready with a two-toned motif. Panels of white work in harmony with its titular tone to form a Fall-friendly palette.

Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara LX

Release Date: September 9
Release Price: $170 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Nike further delved into the realm of luxury collaborations this year by aligning with Jacquemus for a full fledged apparel and footwear collaboration. On the sneakers side, the French fashion designer drew inspiration from the Swoosh’s ACG sub-label and cooked up two elevated variations of the Air Humara LX. Both colorways received an early launch this Summer but will be restocking on SNKRS this week.

New Balance 990v3 “Olive Leaf”

Release Date: September 9
Release Price: $170 USD
Where to Buy: New Balance
Why You Should Cop: The strong output from Teddy Santis’ ongoing Made in USA collection alongside New Balance continues as the 990v3 is being pushed back to the frontlines. This latest take is nicknamed the “Olive Leaf” iteration as its buttery suede overlays are dialed to the Fall-friendly hue. Black underlays and purple accents also sit adjacent — both of which add a little Joker-esque flair — while additional hits of orange splash onto the 990v3 branding and New Balance text that rest on the tongues.

ENGINEERED GARMENTS x Dr. Martens 1461

Release Date: September 9
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: 1017 ALYX 9SM
Why You Should Cop: Matthew Williams is revisiting his partnership with Nike to introduce an entire new silhouette — the MMW NIKE ZOOM 005 Slide. The talented designer further extends the conversation around the clogs and slides movement here by fashioning a futuristic slip-on that is made with a dual-foam outsole and an airy, perforated foam upper half. A duo of colorways will kick off its launches, one being a stealthy all-black while the other is fitted with creamy uppers and angelic treading.

Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red”

Release Date: September 10
Release Price: $210 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS and Shoe Palace
Why You Should Cop: It took 34 years, but the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” is finally getting revived in its truest form. Unlike its 2007 and 2013 retro releases, this upcoming iteration features cement overlays that appear with muted gray tints, the more favorable Nike Air branding on the heels, Nike-branded shoe boxes and tech spec paper cards in the packaging.

adidas YEEZY SLIDE “Resin”

Release Date: September 12
Release Price: $70 USD
Where to Buy: adidas
Why You Should Cop: Despite all of the controversy that Ye has sparked in recent memory about his relationship with adidas, the creative genius still plans to stick to his release calendar schedule. Up next is yet another restock that should benefit your airport needs as the adidas YEEZY Slide “Resin” is making a comeback. Everything from the upper to the in-step to the toothy outsole is covered in its titular shade.
