Ultimate Ears Upgrades Its Massive "Hyperboom" Portable Speaker
Boasting a 24-hour battery life.
Ultimate Ears‘ biggest and loudest portable speaker, the Hyperboom, is receiving an upgrade, arriving in an all-new makeup next month. Measuring 14.33” by 7.5”, the Hyperboom offers three times the noise and six times the bass of the flagship MEGABOOM 3 with a rechargeable battery that delivers up to 24 hours of playtime.
Features include a customizable EQ which includes presets like base boost or game/cinema and support for four input sources including 3.5mm auxiliary, optical audio, and Bluetooth. The Hyperboom can also be paired with other UE speakers within the Boom app and can remember up to eight devices. Boasting a splash-proof IPX4 rating and equipped with a pull-out carrying strap, the “party-proof” speakers can be called upon to fill any space — automatically adjusting to the environment. A charge-out function will also allow users to charge their devices while plugged in via the built-in USB port.
“These speakers are beloved for a reason,” said Jonah Staw, general manager of Ultimate Ears in a press release. “Not only do they have incredible sound, they make music a social, shared experience — and now with the recycled materials used in WONDERBOOM 3, we’re taking steps to reduce the product’s carbon footprint.”
The new Ultimate Ears Hyperboom will be available at the beginning of September in select countries for $450 USD.
