Telfar Launches New Performance Activewear Collection
In-line with Clemens’ ethos for creating genderless clothing.
Telfar has officially launched its performance activewear collection. The drop comes not long after his previous Telfar Clemens previous collections with UGG and Moose Knuckles. The new athletic-focused capsule appears to be an expansion of the designer’s first foray into performance wear when he designed the Liberia team’s 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games uniforms.
The New York-based cult-favorite brand is made its activewear debut with a selection of 14 pieces under the Telfar Performance branch. Staying true to Clemens’ ethos of designing unisex clothing, the collection features various sleek, skin-tight silhouettes taht include compression tops, leggings, bandeaus, tank-tops, biker shorts, one-piece body suits and more. Earlier this year Clemens himself appeared on The Breakfast Club to discuss “creating genderless clothing.” This has been a concept he has preached since the inception of his label in 2005. In the past decade, the brand has quickly evolved into a staple nongendered clothing brand that purely focuses on creative design and functionality.
In addition to the fitted aerodynamic pieces in the performance line-up, Clemens has also released his own version of an athletic hijab. All the pieces feature the signature Telfar branding and arrives in a classic black featuring minimal linear white details. The performance apparel ranges from sizes XS to XXL and are priced betwen $57 USD to $198 USD. The collection is now available online at Telfar.
