For its latest drop, French running brand Satisfy is aiming to cater to the many personalities and tastes of its dedicated followers. The collection, named Trailism, has been split up into five typologies, each relating to a different type of “outdoors-oriented individual”.

First up is the Speed Freak, who Satisfy describe as needing to “feel fast at all costs”, and someone who will “sacrifice hydration and nutrition in the name of speed”. For them, the collection is centered around weightless pieces, namely the Space-0™ Distance Kit. The shorts feature a six-pocket system for storage, negating the need for a vest or belt for your hydration gels. From the rapid to the relaxed, the Long Haul Trucker fits are designed to go far, slowly. “For many, speed is unimportant. A fast and bouncy perspective omits much of what the Long Haul Trucker sees and seeks on their trek,” Satisfy says. Traveling for a long time means you might need a few layers along the way. The collection caters to this through lightweight modularity – a packable windbreaker, hiking pants, and a MothTech™ T- shirt are staples.

The Crustbuster is one of Satisfy’s more veteran journeyers. Despite “probably having ugly feet”, they know exactly what gear they need for whatever distance they’re embarking on – and are a dab hand at making sure they pack just the right amount of stuff for the way. For them, the brand has created a new Auralite™ T-shirt and Justice™ cargo half-tights.

Last but not least are the intriguingly named Wildcard and Psychonaut. Wildcard is the most daring of the group when it comes to making a statement – note fringing on a cropped running tee – while Psychonaught is meticulously put together as if heading out on a run is their very own space mission.

Of the collection, Satisfy says:

“Like a personality test for runners, each of our types wears certain combinations of Satisfy equipment best suited to a particular “trailism” or outdoors philosophy

Trailism demonstrates how sometimes it isn’t the journey that dictates our needs. Sometimes it’s when you have the best equipment that the journey materializes. Gear is the canvas for adventure.”

Alongside the drop, the brand has made its Justice Cordura Hydration Vest available for preorder. The development of the vest began last year when the Satisfy pro-runner Michael Versteeg wore it while embarking on his Colorado Trail Fastest Known Time attempt. Its UV protective, anti-chafing, abrasion resistant, fast drying, lightweight fabric encompasses five liters worth of storage, including two soft flask pockets.

You can sign up for preorder of the Trailsim collection via the Satisfy website now.

In other fashion news, London-based Garbstore has announced a special, one-off sale with Shunji Ohashi, a Kapital designer-turned-lay monk.
