Seiko Goes Ultra-Modern in New 5 Sports SKX Street Style Timepiece

Japanese watchmaker Seiko drops the new 5 Sports SKX Street Style as the latest installment of the brand’s forward-thinking 5 Sports line. Arriving in a daring aesthetic, the new watch channels its “Show Your Style” slogan for the dynamic, modern lifestyles of its wearers.
In the new 5 Sports SKX, Seiko visits its new design framework formed of five pillars – Sports, Suits, Specialist, Sense and Street. The updated approach to watchmaking sees the brand meld its heritage craftsmanship with a bold look, resulting in a functional yet highly faceted timepiece.
Its technical features include a 24-jewel 4R36 caliber movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour, running at approximately 6 beats per second. This system sits within a sized-down 42.5mm diameter and 13.4mm thick face as well as boasting the usual water and magnetic resistant qualities .
Seiko crafts the watch with strong lines that come emphasized with white indices and a black beveled frame, adding to its statement-making look. Moving away from silver stainless steel, deep and earthy tones adorn the patterned face and nylon strap bringing a layer of softness to the everyday piece.
