Enter Prada’s Foam Rubber Booties, a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional galoshes. Arriving in Black, Red and Light Blue, the rubbery boots build up the calf from the label’s previously-released mule and incorporate an embossed triangle logo on the outer-facing side of both components.
Atop a bulky, rubber sole, the silhouette employs a seamless, single-shade upper construction with subtle contouring on the front and the Prada name etched onto the heel. Meanwhile, the foamy boots operate on a rubber tread with a geometric, lenticular design.
Prada’s Foam Rubber Booties mark the latest entry in the squishy footwear vertical, which evidently remains a popular design tactic among a myriad of fashion labels. (See our latest Behind the HYPE on foamy footwear’s glow-up for a full deep dive on the subject, here.)
Listed for $750 USD, Prada’s Foam Rubber Booties are now available to shop on the brand’s website. Take a look at the modern silhouette in the gallery above.
