On-Foot Look at the Philllllthy x adidas NMD S1 "Blue"
Designer Phillip “Philllllthy” Leyesa has prepared his first launch with the Three Stripes.
As adidas continues to expand its collaborative catalog of designers, Phillip “Philllllthy” Leyesa has teamed up with the Three Stripes to rework the adidas NMD S1. Following a first look in July, on-foot images of the sneaker have now popped up.
For this collaborative take on the adidas NMD S1, shades of blue, brown and black offer a bold look on the futuristic silhouette. Starting at the sneaker’s signature sole unit, a gum outsole featuring a Trefoil-shaped grip combines with a full-length BOOST midsole in white. Covering the iconic cushioning technology is a semi-translucent blue casing that features midsole plugs and co-branding on the lateral. As for the upper, the toebox and heel opt for a checkered weave made up of blue, off-white and black. At the midfoot, the Three Stripes appear in a strong blue while the lacing system favors a softer sky blue. The collar rounds this look out with its light blue shade complemented by a light brown tab towards the laces and off-white accents on the heel.
While adidas has yet to share official release information regarding the Philllllthy x adidas NMD S1 “Blue,” it is expected to hit shelves November 15 via the Three Stripes and select retailers worldwide at a price of $220 USD.
Elsewhere in the world of footwear, official images of the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Slate” have surfaced ahead of its release date later this week.
