At the end of last year, adidas introduced the NMD S1 as the latest NMD project from adidas Originals. During this rollout, adidas tapped Phillip Leyesa, also known as Philllllthy, for some custom one-of-one colorways of the NMD S1. Leyesa reimagines pieces, drawing inspiration from Japanese mending techniques. Whether it be fusing garments into something greater than the sum of its parts or creating his own spin-off of a design, Leyesa continues to question the status quo. Now, images have surfaced of an official Philllllthy x adidas NMD S1 release.

In our first look at his collaborative NMD S1, a black and cream knit combines with an indigo blue on the upper. This blue lands on the Three Stripes, midsole plugs and lacing system. A soft gray also hits the collar of the shoe while an eye-catching gum outsole contrasts the look. Lastly, collaborative detailing is featured on the full-length white boost midsole, including Leyesa’s “P” logo.

The release of the Philllllthy x adidas NMD S1 is set for November 15 via adidas and select retailers at a price of $220 USD. In the meantime, take a first look at the pair above and keep an eye out for the Three Stripes to share official images in the coming months.

In case you missed it, the “Fade Azure” colorway of the adidas YZY KNIT RNR has been revealed and is coming soon.
