Your ID store just announced the opening of its newest location in Brazil’s São Paulo neighborhood. The area is known to have the largest community of Japanese people outside of Japan. To celebrate the community and its latest shop, Your ID has connected with New Balance for a 327 model dubbed “Lamén,” the Brazilian way to call the famous Japanese dish, ramen.
The shoe draws inspiration from the popular food’s ingredients with each element symbolizing a unique aspect of the meal. The collaborative sneaker features textured leather and suede in hues of tan and grey alongside accents of yellow, pink and orange. All the colors represent the noodles, broth, seaweed, pork, egg, fishcake and green onion. A fun ramen illustration is displayed on the tongue and wearers can see the phrase “DO NOT EAT” located on the interior heel. This pair is definitely for the true footwear and ramen connoisseur.
The Your ID Store x New Balance 327 “Lamén” is set to drop on July 30 and will be available from the Your ID online store and physical locations.
In other sneaker news, streetwear label Stray Rats and New Balance also have a collab coming up.
