Nike will typically pull a retro basketball out of the vault each year and give it a plethora of moments to shine through vintage bring-backs and collaborative projects. In 2022, we’re seeing a wave of Air Max Penny 1s hit the market, and after being filtered through the lens of Social Status, the silhouette is being fashioned in a crispy clean “Photon Dust” palette.

Minimalistic is probably the best way to describe this latest offering. Premium leather panels that make up the base as well as the textured molds that start at the forefoot and creep into the quarters are done up in all-white, while shaggy suede overlays are dyed in its titular color. A tiny hint of yellow shows face on the Nike logo that is positioned on the toe box while the jeweled Swooshes come backdropped in black and feature the standard crack pattern. The neutral theme continues down below as the midsoles are also styled with an angelic finish while the outsoles complement with creamy accents.

Official images of the pair can be viewed in the gallery above, and you can expect these to drop via SNKRS on September 8.

Elsewhere in footwear, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Gorge Green” has been revealed.
