The Artem Pylypenko x Hatton Labs Jewelry Collaboration Is Rooted in Love and Light
With 100% of the proceeds to benefit the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine.
Ukrainian designer Artem Pylypenko has united with Hatton Labs for a new jewelry capsule collection. Designed entirely by Pylypenko partly as a response to the war in Ukraine, the creative’s collection serves as a symbol of hope and light.
Comprising the collection is an array of minimalist chains and earrings in sterling silver and 18K yellow gold plating. With each item, Pylypenko centers on the carabiner for a slightly rugged, yet refined design. Moreover, the designer uses the carabiner as a way of playing with the notion of life, security and ambivalence. Specifically, he channels this by evolving certain design details of the tool.
“I want this collaboration to be the light at the end of the tunnel,” said Pylypenko. “A reminder of something important, something we have forgotten, to form new boundaries within each of us, or to destroy them completely. I want to devote this collaboration to choice–choosing values, morals, guidelines and actions.”
Also included in the capsule is a beige t-shirt with simple co-branded detailing on the front and a direction-inspired graphic design on the back. Dipped in shades of blue and orange, the back graphic symbolizes the possibility of always finding one’s way back if they are lost by following the sun. 100% of the proceeds from the capsule are set to benefit Ohmatdyt Children’s Specialized Hospital, which is the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine.
