Nike Livens Up the Air Max 95 with "Tour Yellow" Embellishments
Boasting a color scheme reminiscent of the famed Air Jordan 4 “Tour Yellow” from 2006 and an interesting mix of materials.
The Air Max 95 is one of the most revered models in Nike’s Air Max lineage, and its signature detail is anatomy-inspired upper paneling that offers the Swoosh’s color designers plenty of room for experimentation. The latest results from the mad scientists in Beaverton is a “Tour Yellow” colorway that’s reminiscent of 2006’s famous Air Jordan 4 “Tour Yellow” and also offers some slight LIVESTRONG vibes — save for the cheating and lying, of course.
“Tour Yellow” may be the shoe’s signature color, but it’s applied sparingly across the eyestays and branded hits. Black and wolf grey also make an appearance, while tan and white details provide an interesting textural contrast on the shoe’s mesh and rubberized accents. Hi-vis reflective hits are worked in as well, and a full-foot Air cushioning setup rounds off the look.
If you’re aiming to snag a pair of these highly-detailed Nike Air Max 95s, you should be able to do so in the coming weeks. An official release date has yet to be announced but will surface soon. When the “Tour Yellow” does drop, you can expect to shell out $175 USD for a pair.
