Hot Toys Unveils Fully Chrome Stormtrooper 1:6th Figure
The exclusive arrives later this year.
The Stormtrooper from Star Wars has proven over the past five decades to be a timeless design, and now Hot Toys is hoping to build on the iconic suit’s legacy with its own chromed-out version of the Imperial soldier. Typical of the Hong Kong-based premium collectibles company, the new Stormtrooper figure comes at a 1:6th scale and stands roughly 12 inches tall, with over 30 points of articulation to give its posing more flexibility.
The highlight of the release comes in its new silver metallic chrome finishing, replacing the usual pristine white of the retro-futuristic armor on the character from head to toe. As usual, you’ll get a whole range of accessories as well to accompany the figure, including its blaster rifle and blaster pistol, several pairs of hands in various gestures, and a themed hexagonal base with the Imperial crest painted in white along with a character nameplate.
Unfortunately, there’s no information yet on pricing, but Hot Toys will be releasing the new chrome Stormtrooper in the latter half of this year.
