Founded in 2020, DAIWA PIER39 was introduced as a fashion-forward extension of the fishing label DAIWA. Under the guidance of Nakada Shinsuke, a former director at BEAMS Plus, the brand has quickly blossomed in the span of two years to become one of the most promising new labels coming out of Japan. For Fall/Winter 2022, DAIWA PIER39 delivers its signature relaxed and technical cuts, offering comfy and versatile layering options in a retreat-style aesthetic.

Some highlights from the collection include pullover lightweight puffer vests featuring open sides that can be worn like an A-line throw-on or opened all the way up to become a poncho. GORE-TEX and other quick-dry materials are applied across parkas, windbreakers, anorak jackets, and more while more refined styles include padded suit jackets and sky blue mandarin collar shirts. Rounding out the assortment are a number of fleece zip-up jackets, cropped weatherized jackets, and wide-leg bottoms incorporating oversized pockets and other hidden details.

Take a scroll through the DAIWA PIER39 FW22 lookbook above and expect Drop 3 from the collection to arrive at the brand’s website and select retailers August 11.
