Clarks Originals' First Concept Store Opens in Tokyo
Inspired by Somerset, England.

Clarks has opened its first-ever concept store, “Clarks Originals Tokyo,” in the capital’s central Harajuku district. The store space arrives in a minimalist aesthetic expressing the worldview of Clarks’ home county of Somerset, England with gridded wooden display walls and faded multicolor brick floors.
A separate gallery space named “THE BRAND BOX” features a curved wall design with unique furniture pieces that express the brand’s vision. Interiors were designed by Soda Architectural Design Office, a firm that operates out of Shanghai and Tokyo.
To celebrate the store opening, three limited models inspired by the 2010 60th Anniversary Union Jack Desert Boots will be on sale including exclusive Desert Boots, Desert Treks, and Wallabees in black suede. Those currently in Tokyo can now visit the new concept store. Another concept store will also be opening in Osaka’s Shinsaibashi shopping district this September.
