Elizabeth Brock-Jones, Senior Innovator at Nike, Kendal Bagby, Senior Executive Assistant at Nike, and sneaker designing legend Tinker Hatfield have joined hands to create a special Air Jordan 1 Mid “Women In Flight” colorway. The sneakers act as a symbolic figure of Title IX, the University Of Oregon and women’s athletics.

Pops of neon green are positioned on the Swooshes, interior liners and outsoles to nod to the UO Ducks while the majority of the upper half is covered with two shades of a dusted teal. The Hatfield-designed Title IX insignia makes its way onto the tongues which matches the logo that’s engraved onto the wooden packaging. Additionally, the kicks come wrapped in special tissue which is printed with the full Title IX legislation.

There are only two pairs in existence. The first pair is being auctioned off with all proceeds going towards Women In Flight’s “Go Do Anything” campaign that supports female student-athlete experiences through scholarships, team bonding, coaching, mentoring and facilities. Bidding for the auction ends on August 8, 2022 at 9pm EDT.

For other sneaker news, the Air Jordan 37 “Hare” has been unveiled.
