DeMar DeRozan Signs Four-Year Deal With Nike to Remain Face of Kobe Line
The Chicago Bulls star will continue to debut new Nike Kobe looks.
After it looked as if the Kobe Bryant and Nike partnership was coming to a conclusion, Nike announced that earlier this year a new deal with the basketball legend’s estate was formed. While the Nike Kobe line hasn’t fully resumed its normal production flow, the Swoosh looks to have re-signed with Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan to continue as the featured face of the Nike Kobe line, according to Shams Charania.
In recent years, DeRozan has debuted new Nike Kobe colorways such as the UNDEFEATED x Nike Kobe 4 Protro and even had his own PE release. Now, following his successful season landing him on the All-NBA second team, DeRozan looks to be solidifying his place as a leader of the Nike Kobe line. While no specifics regarding his role in the coming years have been announced, expect him to be outfitted in the latest from Nike’s Kobe line and possibly step into some of the upcoming media campaigns as the line returns to the spotlight.
The Chicago Bulls are already a team to watch with its playoff-ready lineup. However, with DeRozan continuing to rock new Kobe PEs and releases, there’s yet another reason to keep an eye on the Bulls this upcoming NBA season.
