SuperRare and Gucci Drop Second NFT Collaboration
‘The Next 100 Years of Gucci’ honors the brand’s colorful heritage.
NFT marketplace SuperRare is dropping its latest collaboration with Gucci titled “The Next 100 Years of Gucci,” which honors the brand’s colorful heritage.
The curated art marketplace recently teamed up with Gucci to launch the luxury house’s first experimental online space called Vault Art Space. The latest drop — the second of three — will be showcased and auctioned directly on the Vault website.
“The Next 100 Years of Gucci” will feature 10 NFT artists, who were prompted to reflect on the brand’s 100-year legacy and present their vision for its next chapter. Artists in this project include Alexis Christodoulou, Aliendope, Diberkato, Drew Young, Jordan Schiffer, Pet Liger, trs.mnz, Tyler Spangler, Vexx, and YEAHYEAHCHLOE.
The partnership also welcomes Gucci into the SuperRare DAO, which will be controlled by the platform’s community of artists, collectors, and curators through its $RARE token. Holders will be able to advocate for new updates, and the platform aims to welcome independent galleries (called “Spaces”) that bring new curatorial voices into SuperRare’s ecosystem.
The release goes live on July 7 and will be auctioned directly on the Vault website.
Gucci has recently embraced Web3, teaming up with collectibles company SUPERPLASTIC to launch SUPERGUCCI, a limited series of CryptoJanky NFTs and ceramic sculptures. The Italian brand also recently partnered with 10KTF on a series of NFTs called Gucci Grail.
In other news, phone (1) maker Nothing is set to airdrop NFTs to its community investors.
