Nike Lets the Air Max Plus Shine in Gold
“Gold Bullet” vibes.
Nike has continuously leaned on its Air Max line to provide a blend of new and retro lifestyle looks. Most notably, this year the Swoosh has celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Air Max 1 while also introducing the oversized Air Max Scorpion. At the same time, Nike’s Air Max Plus silhouette has made some noise in both its original and Air Max Terrascape Plus forms. Arriving in a gold and black colorway, this upper is almost reminiscent of the Air Max 97 “Gold Bullet” that is set to re-release in 2023.
The wavy silhouette’s upper opts for a mesh construction in a striking gold that pairs with a matching TPU cage, leather mudguard and toe cap. A complementary suede also lands at the tongue and heel counter while yellow hits the various Air Max Plus branding elements throughout. The visible Air units are surrounded by a black midsole with the color also landing on the branding and lining to provide contrast. Lastly, a rubber gum outsole completes this stand out look from the Swoosh.
