The iconic 2004 Nike Air Max 1 “Crep Hemp” is set for a 2022 re-release arriving later this year. Since its initial release, the colorway became an instant classic. To celebrate the silhouette’s 35th anniversary, Nike is reaching into their archives and bringing back some of the most sought-after pairs.

The original shoe features an upper constructed with burlap material paired with tan leather overlays as well as brown suede mudguards. The 2022 release is expected to follow the initial color scheme which sees a mixture of medium brown, mint foam, mushroom and muslin. The Swoosh remains a standout highlight, seen in aqua blue, sitting a top a white mid-sole and gum-toned Crepe rubber outsole to round off the shoe.

The shoe remains a classic amongst sneaker collectors, as explained by Ryan Hawkins, avid Air Max collector, in a recent exclusive interview with HYPEBEAST. The 2022 release of Nike Air Max 1 “Crepe Hemp” is slated to arrive later this year for a retail price of $180 USD in select retailers and on Nike.

Elsewhere in footwear, Nike Air Force 1 Low celebrates 40 years by paying homage to the history of logos.
