Available on Netflix in 2023.
Netflix has dropped the official teaser trailer for popular anime series, Record of Ragnarok II. The second season has officially been confirmed to hit the streamer in 2023 after a release of the new trailer by this year’s Anime Expo.
The new teaser trailer gives fans a glimpse of the battle between the gods and mankind. The series sees making facing off against familiar gods including Thor, Hermes and Ares but it also follows how humanity decides to choose which member of their civilization will get a chance to participate in the fight for survival throughout time. Those representing humankind include Jack The Ripper, Adam from the Garden of Eden, Lu Bu, and Hercules.
The first trailer for the second season gives audiences a better look at which gods and humans will be fighting against one another as humans struggle to survive and the deities have ignited the war to end mankind. Netflix’s official description of Record of Ragnarok reads,
This mega-popular manga series with over 6 million copies in print finally receives an anime adaptation! Representatives from throughout human history take on the world’s deities in 13 one-on-one battles — and the fate of humanity is at stake! Bringing this intense world to the screen is Graphinica, the animation studio behind Juni Taisen: Zodiac War and Hello World, who have depicted many fierce 3D CG battles in anime such as Blade of the Immortal, Promare and Girls und Panzer. A thrilling and transcendent battle-action anime explodes onto the screen!
Season two arrives in 2023. Stay tuned for more information and watch the trailer above or below.
