Heron Preston x Zellerfeld Updates HERON01 3D-Printed Shoe
Alongside an expansion of Zellerfeld’s beta testing program.
Following the sold-out release of the Heron Preston x Zellerfeld HERON01 3D-printed shoe in October 2021, the collaboration is back with an updated model. Furthering the possibilities of conscious production, the updated Version 0.81 comes with a new design.
Following the introduction of Version 0.80, Zellerfeld utilized received feedback on form, fit and more from beta testers to prepare the new edition. The second fully 3D-printed silhouette features an improved collar shape for easier entry, softer upper, reduced materials, a bigger toe-box, higher heel inclination, enhanced arch support, enhanced midsole design and a snugger fit.
Alongside the HERON01 Version 0.81, Zellerfeld is expanding its footwear beta program to regularly add new testers. In addition to shoes, the program is set to include sports performance footwear testing.
“The beta tester community has been incredible,” said Heron Preston. “The demand and feedback for the first version was beyond my expectations, and interacting with beta testers makes me want to continually update the design for them to try.”
Test pairs of Version 0.81 are set to retail for $350 USD and will include one free update when the next iteration comes around. To receive the new update, beta testers must provide feedback and return their old pair.
