MARCELL VON BERLIN has turned to old Hollywood glamour for its latest collection for the Fall/Winter 2022 season. In a stylish tribute, LA’s glitz and glam take center stage within the collection as the brand pinpoints the neighboring Palm Springs area as an inspirational focus.

Inspired by a varying degree of source material – ranging from Palm Springs’ bright architectural structures to the glittering night sky and even desert creatures – the MVB label has used vibrant colors, intricate fabrics and “retro-inspired” looks to highlight the balmy geographic location. Day dressing makes a standout appearance in the collection with feather-trimmed orange suits, snake prints and chunky knits.

Western-style detailing helps to play up the rich California theme, while leather footwear and accessories help bridge the collection together.

Discussing the reason for using Palm Springs as inspiration for the collection, MVB’s designer, Marcell Putsul, says: “For me, Palm Springs is a mood: fun yet classy with intricate details. The desert town has been attracting Hollywood A-listers since the 1920’s and the glitz and glamour from that era is still alive and kicking, which is the exact energy I wanted to embody with this collection.”

“I love how Palm Springs style is proud to be different, bold, and colorful – it is a little mod, a lot of bright and a whole lot of spunk – always a combination I can get behind! Every time I travel there, I get even more inspired by the colorful combinations, poolside style décor, and tropic prints and patterns,” adds Putsul.

The full FW22 MARCELL VON BERLIN collection will be available on the brand’s website in addition to its LA and Berlin flagship stores beginning in October.

In case you missed it, 24kGoldn combined sophisticated swag with vibrant street style for a recent trip to Europe.
