Oriol has partnered with Dickies on an exclusive capsule collection that celebrates the Chicano culture and shines a spotlight on LA’s Lowriding community. The collection features Dickies iconic workwear staples – work pants, overalls, and T-shirts. Dickies’ indigo denim appears in “Bib Overalls,” and work pants are in Dickies Original “874® Twill” fabric, while a “LA Nights” version of the brand’s tees appears in a long sleeve format.
In addition to the collection, Oriol also got behind the lens to capture the campaign lookbook for the drop. Models appear in a laidback slow approach to life, posed in and around a series of Lowriding vehicles.
Commenting on the importance of Chicano culture, Oriol tells Hypebeast: “Capturing the raw reality of Los Angeles street life and Chicano lowrider culture is my life’s calling. I’m devoted to humanizing the parts of the city. I’m humbled to have received the immense trust, respect and responsibility from Dickies to document their clothing in an intimate way that authentically represents Chicano culture today.”
