A key part of what makes Nike and its SB division successful is its collaborative endeavors. And this year, the skate-focused label is poised to rack up its team-ups with the likes of Neck Face, Jordan Brand, HUF and “Why So Sad?”, the latter of which has just popped up thanks to early imagery.

“Why So Sad?” is an entity started by pro skater John Rattray that focuses on raising funds and awareness to provide support for those struggling with mental health, and this new initiative is likely one that will likely be charity-focused. Rattray opted for the SB Dunk Low as his silhouette of choice, and he reworks it with some enticing decor. The Swooshes are given a blue coating, but with normal wear and tear, they reveal a yellow hue which may nod to the notion that people hide their battles from society. Additionally, a chicken figure riding a skateboard that’s previously used on past merchandise has been embroidered into the lateral heel. Various shades of blue alternate amongst the upper panels while the outsoles are done up with a translucent exterior.

A launch date is still unknown at this time, but expect more information around this release to surface shortly.

For other news, Matthew M. Williams recently teased up his upcoming Nike Slide collaboration.
