Citizen Partners With Lunar Exploration Company For Limited Edition HAKUTO-R
The Japanese watch brand will also supply Super Titanium parts for a lunar lander.

Citizen’s latest space aged collaboration will see the Japanese watch brand supply parts made of its Super Titanium for a lunar lander.
This second limited edition HAKUTO-R watch – designed with corporate partner ispace inc. – features elements made of the very same material, Super Titanium with Duratec DLC treatment, as well as bezel and bracelet midlinks made of its distinctive new Recrystallized Titanium material.
Named after ispace inc.’s commercial lunar exploration program, which is scheduled to launch its first mission later this year, the 44mm limited edition Eco Drive watch features the world’s fastest GPS signal reception, receiving its time signals in as little as three seconds, while hour and minute hands automatically adjust twice as fast as the previous model.
A heating and cooling process creates the uneven crystalline appearance in the recrystallized titanium, while the lunar lander that will include parts made by Citizen is depicted on the watch’s caseback.
The HAKUTO-R will be limited to 1,000 pieces when it drops in July via Citizen, priced $3,500 USD.
Elsewhere in watches, UNDEFEATED partners with H Moser & Cie for $55,000 USD chronograph.
