Nike Lets the Air Max Plus Shine in "Metallic Copper"

Reminiscent of the Air Tuned Max “Celery.”

After Nike introduced its classic “Grape” colorway to the Air Max Plus earlier this year, the sportswear behemoth now continues its trend of decorating the silhouette with old themes. Drawing from the Air Tuned Max “Celery” colorway, this “Metallic Copper” edition carries a sense of legacy. The Sean McDowell-designed Air Max Plus model debuted in 1998, one year before the aforementioned Air Tuned Max. While McDowell designed it to be a performance model, it has transcended into playing a significant role in the world of sneakers.

The internationally relevant Air Max Plus favors a “Metallic Copper” from head to toe. Accented by touches of gold and black at the sole, this colorway opts to stand out with its shiny finish rather than using bold colors. The wavy model is equipped with matching Swooshes on each side and the Nike Air logo on the tongue. A classic “Tn Air” logo prominently pops at the heel and insole.

While release information has yet to be announced, it’s safe to assume that Nike and select retailers will have this pair on shelves later this year.

In other Nike news, a Dunk Low “Reverse UNC” is on the way in women’s sizing.
