Designer at LAYER, Benjamin Hubert, has formulated two sofa systems for furniture brand Prostoria which combine ease of use and utility.

The modular designs cater to all of your work from home needs, bringing the office to you, or bringing comfort to traditional office spaces. Hubert created two different sofa systems, ROSTRUM and SABOT, which differ in their layout, but both emphasize the modern duality of the workplace.

As Prostoria is recognized for high-quality craftsmanship and fine-tuned details, the Croatian brand’s pieces each have their own individual characteristics and personality. ROSTRUM sits atop slim legs and takes on a sophisticated feel, while SABOT is warm and welcoming, placed atop rounded feet.

ROSTRUM was built with intuitive features that maximize the mixing and matching of each of its components. The elevated quality of its dynamic framework gives the system a lightweight, effortless essence and allows for a multitude of color and finish combinations.

SABOT, named after a wooden shoe, celebrates Prostoria’s roots as a woodworking brand. As such, this sofa system is a nod to a more classic, lived-in design approach. Each module has an inviting silhouette and all of the pieces can be brought together to create a large, connected structure or separate islands of comfort. This flexibility allows for many types of seating arrangements for different spaces and occasions.

Both ROSTRUM and SABOT come with integrated power and compatible accessories to accentuate each sofa system, creating a comprehensive working or living environment. ROSTRUM features useful side shelves, dividers to separate seating areas, adjustable tables, and seating poufs. SABOT also features similar poufs and accent tables along with planters.

Working and relaxing, wherever you choose to partake in either, are enhanced with the LAYER x Prostoria collection. The ROSTRUM and SABOT sofa systems will launch in June, at Milan’s Salone del Mobile 2022.
