TEDxPortland Celebrates Its 10-Year Anniversary With a Nike Air Force 1 Collab
The “1,164” hits nod to the number of days it took for the event to come to life after the effects of the pandemic.
To celebrate its major milestones, TEDxPortland has often partnered alongside Nike to produce extremely-limited footwear collaborations. In the past we’ve seen the two entities link up on models such as the Air Max 1, Air Trainer 1 and the Air Jordan 1, and now the the duo has reconnected to fashion a special Nike Air Force 1 Low in celebration of TEDxPortland’s 10-year anniversary.
From afar, these might appear to be a simple all-white AF1, but the kicks are replete with striking details. Swooshes have been readied with an iridescent skin for extra flair, and the tongues have swapped out the traditional Nike Air branding with the TEDxPortland logo. Numerical embellishments are a key element of this offering as well as the number “10” adorns the heels to call out the decade celebration while 1,164 lands on the medial side to represent how many days it took for the event to return given the effects of the pandemic. Elsewhere on the kicks you’ll find the Portland signature “P” logo on the interior side of the tongues as well as “AUDAC10US” printed atop the sock liner as that is the theme of TEDxPortland 2022.
