Netflix has dropped off the official trailer for volume three of its popular animated anthology series Love, Death + Robots.

The preview promises nine stories, each of which will fall into the genres of sci-fi and horror, and an abundance of fantastical animal characters — in the two-minute visual alone, we see giant crabs, fighter rats, astronaut cats and cyborg bears. Notably, the upcoming third installment marks producer David Fincher’s first time directing animation.

According to an official description, “terror, imagination and beauty combine in nine new episodes which stretch from uncovering an ancient evil to a comedic apocalypse, telling startling short stories of fantasy, horror and science-fiction with trademark wit and visual invention.”

Fincher is producing alongside Tim Miller, whose repertoire includes Deadpool and Terminator: Dark FateVolume three will see the return of Alberto Mielgo, who previously earned three Emmys for his 2019 episode “The Witness,” and welcome newcomers Joe Abercrombie, Andrew Kevin Walker and Carlos Stevens. In total, the series has earned an impressive 12 Emmy nominations and 11 wins.

Love, Death + Robots volume three will premiere on May 20. Watch the trailer above.
