To celebrate its first-ever pop-up in Asia in collaboration with HBX, HUMAN MADE has readied a Hong Kong-inspired limited-edition T-shirt. Drawing inspiration from NIGO‘s memories of riding on Hong Kong’s iconic double-deck tram, the T-shirt is adorned with an illustration of the transport system known as “Ding Ding.” Complementing the black and white “Ding Ding” graphic is HUMAN MADE’s “DRY ALLS” text logo and trademark heart motif in green as a nod to the signature color of the tram system.
Along with the specially curated box tee, the pop-up space for the collaboration will also debut with HUMAN MADE’s SEASON 23 collection, which continues the brand’s deep references to vintage styling, Americana, and military elements. The range is comprised of classic jackets, hoodies, chinos, sweaters, accessories, lifestyle items, and more graphic T-shirts marked by bold and timeless colors accented by signature animal motifs and phrases like “Gears for futuristic teenagers.”
“Hong Kong has become one of my favorite cities ever since my first visit back in 1995. I hope fans in Hong Kong will be inspired by the creativity of HUMAN MADE and experience a taste of Tokyo in this special pop-up in collaboration with HBX,” says NIGO.
Priced at $700 HKD (approximately $90 USD), HUMAN MADE’s Hong Kong limited-edition tram T-shirt will be available at the physical pop-up store starting May 13, with a wider online release at a later date.
