The Duffer Brothers have alluded to potentially creating a spin-off for Stranger Things. The creators have hinted at a potential opening for the additional storylines down the line, exploring different journeys of the show’s characters.

In a recent conversation with SFX, the brothers admitted that they do not feel the show is over just quite yet. They said that they believed the series had “a lot more gas left in the tank” and even shared that even Netflix is unaware of what they have in store. Matt explained, “We have some ideas. In terms of if we were to do any sort of spinoff, or any continuation of Stranger Things, for us the bar was always ‘Is the idea exciting enough that we feel the pull of wanting to do it again?’” He added, “I want to feel the pull of ‘God I really want to do this. I feel really, really excited about this.’ So that’s why we’re being careful about what that is and whether we move forward with it or not.”

The other half of the duo, Ross, chimed in and shared his thoughts stating, “The key for us is that it needs to feel like its own distinct thing, not that we’re just retreading what we’ve already done.” He also teased fans that there have been a few exciting ideas floating by, but they are not in a rush to reveal them.” Season four of Stranger Things arrives on Netflix on May 27.

Elsewhere in entertainment, here is everything coming to and leaving Netflix in May 2022.
