adidas Launches New OZWORLD Footwear and Metaverse Experience
Introducing new physical sneakers and digital personality-based avatars.
Following the launch of the OZWORLD digital metaverse experience on April 15, the physical footwear collection has now officially arrived. The new OZWORLD series consists of new takes on adidas’ classic OZWEEGO and OZELIA as well as two newly launched OZNOVA and OZWEEGO META silhouettes.
The OZWEEGO series features a chunky build with a mesh base and choppy leather overlays while the Ozelia series arrives in a sleek aerodynamic form with slicked-back liquid lines and reflective accents. Rounding off the assortment is the new OZNOVA sneaker found in a mix of textile, suede, and semi-translucent rubber uppers with a thick layered midsole unit incorporating distinct ripple cutout patterns.
The shoes can be experienced virtually on the OZWORLD Experience website, the world’s first personality-based AI-generated avatar creation platform in collaboration with Ready Player Me. Users who load into the website can generate unique avatars based on scaled responses, and choose their favorite OZWORLD footwear for their avatar.
A preview of the OZWORLD metaverse experience is accessible here with a full launch arriving on April 28 and the footwear collection is now available on the adidas’ website and select retailers.
