NFTs have been starting to become more prevalent in the sneaker industry across brands, blogs, resell platforms and more. We’ve seen actual imprints like Nike launch its co-branded “MNLTH” NFT and adidas team with Prada to drop a user-generated NFT project, and now SoleSavy — the sneaker community-focused platform — is chiming in on the action by dropping its limited-edition custom SS4 sneaker and NFT physically and digitally. This marks the company’s first move into the metaverse, and owners will be granted access to future SoleSavy NFT drops, sneaker releases, member-only events and other perks such as merchandise and giveaways.

For this new initiative, SoleSavy leaned on Gemo Wong and Justin Taylor — two well-respected designers known for bringing culturally-impacting capsules such as Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack x Jordan Brand collection and the Dior x Jordan assemblage to life — to help create the kicks. The low-cut kicks are made for everyday lifestyle use and come with a sleek and low-cut design. Striking details include the minty green accents, abstract overlays, glow-in-the-dark sole units and midsoles which have been debossed with toothy shapes on the forefoot.

“We’re really excited to introduce the SS4 sneaker and NFT, unlocking the next level of consumer experiences both in the real world and the metaverse,” said Dejan Pralica, CEO and Co-Founder at SoleSavy. “The SS4 will allow SoleSavy to create a new consumer journey that doesn’t end at the point-of-sale, extending our mission to serve the most loyal sneaker enthusiasts.”

You can learn more about the project here and note that it will be released on April 18.

In other news, Dennis Rodman has revealed a colorful NFT Collection titled “Rodman’s Barbershop.”
