General Mills Is Releasing 'Sonic the Hedgehog' Cereal and Fruit Snacks

General Mills has just announced a new cereal and fruit snack celebrating the 30th anniversary of SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog and the release of the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film.
The cereal is ring-shaped as a nod to the video game and sees marshmallows in the shape of Chaos Emeralda and Spin Dash stars. The fruit snacks arrive in the form of classic characters like Knuckles, Tails, and Sonic.
“Our goal is to create holistic brand experiences for our consumers, and we’re so excited to be able to join SEGA to extend the ways that families can engage with the beloved Sonic the Hedgehog this spring,” said Katie Wong, head of Ideas & Partnerships for General Mills. “By bringing Sonic into the cereal and fruit snacks aisles, we’re able to bring together favorites of both kids and parents, alike.”
Fans can expect these two new products to release with the film on April 8.
In other food news, Kellogg’s releases three new Frosted Flakes cereal flavors.
