HBO has dropped off the official trailer for season three of Barry, its Emmy-winning dark comedy series starring Bill Hader as the titular character.

The show returns to screens after three long years and sees Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler), Barry’s former acting coach, close up his acting workshop following the death of his girlfriend, Detective Janice Moss. This leaves Barry at a loss as he is forced to leave acting — his newfound passion after attempting to leave his life as an assassin — behind, and forces him to dig deeper into his life as a hired gunman. He then finds out that there was more to his old life than he realized and is now forced to make the right choices.

Joining Hader and Winkler are cast regulars Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan, Sarah Burns and recurring cast members D’Arcy Carden and Michael Irby. Alec Berg and Hader, the co-creators, also return to tseason three as directors, co-executive producers alongside Aida Rodgers and Liz Sarnoff and co-writers with Emma Barrie, Jason Kim, Emily Heller, Duffy Boudreau and Liz.

Elsewhere in entertainment, two Sherlock Holmes series are reportedly in early development over at HBO Max.
