Following the release of a pair of collaborative Herringbone 1490 Boots for FW21, Y’s by Yohji Yamamoto and Dr. Martens reconnect this Spring/Summer 2022 season to debut a pair of Forster ZEB Y’s sandals. The open-toe introduction joins similar efforts from other brands such as Stone Island’s Shadow Project Sandal and Vivienne Westwood’s Chunky Romper Sandal in ushering in the warmer months ahead.

For the collaborative effort, Y’s applies an elevated Sharksole to Dr. Martens’ Forster Webbing Sandals and urethane rubber is adopted for the oustole and footbed, reducing overall weight while optimizing for comfort. Y’s logos are embossed on the straps and Dr. Martens logos are featured on the buckles. Classic Dr. Martens AirWair pull tabs are secured to the heel, and yellow welt stitching appears on the midsoles to complete the design.

Look for the Y’s x Dr. Martens Forster Zeb Y’s sandals to arrive in “Black” and “Black/White” at The Shop Yohji Yamamoto’s website and select physical retailers on April 15.
