Kawasaki x adidas Originals' Ninja-Inspired ZX Pack Receives a Release Date
Shown in new campaign imagery.

The highly-anticipated footwear collaboration between Japanese motorcycle company Kawasaki and adidas Originals has officially received a release date. The two-piece pack initially unveiled in September of last year is inspired by Kawasaki’s iconic Ninja sportbike.
The collaborative capsule includes a light-colored adidas ZX 8000 and a darker ZX 5K BOOST silhouette. The upcoming adidas ZX 8000 sneaker features White perforated kangaroo leather uppers with Kawasaki green leather overlays, blue leather accents, and stylized “Ninja” patch embroidery on the laterals. Co-branded logos decorate the black tongue tabs, and silver metallic support pieces are fixed onto the heel counter.
The ZX 5K BOOST arrives in a similar design language with a black mesh base, black and reflective TPU overlays, green accents, and BOOST cushioning wrapped in a semi-translucent ripstop vamp.
Both pairs come with alternate laces with electroplated lace tips and license plate-style metallic lace dubraes. Custom shoeboxes display a printed graphic of the latest Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, and come filled with printed tissue paper bearing Kawasaki motorcycle sketches.
The Kawasaki x adidas Originals collaboration will arrive on April 14 at adidas’ online and physical stores around the world. The ZX 5K Boost is priced at $160 USD and the ZX 8000 at $120 USD. Look for the special campaign film, paying homage to Japanese motorbike culture, to arrive in conjunction with the footwear drop later this week.
Elsewhere in footwear, Nike adds three classic silhouettes to its “Washed Denim” pack.
