Nike Air Kukini Gets Decorated With Wild Leopard Graphics
The 2000s runner is complete with translucent cages and bold orange Air units.

Since being started as a brand in 1964, Nike has developed one of the most impressive sneaker catalogs in history. And every year, the Beaverton brand will do some archival digging to meticulously select a handful of silhouettes to spotlight and reintroduce to the modern-day sneakerhead, and 2022 is the moment for the return of the Air Kukini. The lifestyle runner — which debuted in the year 2000 — is preparing to drop in several colorways in the coming months, and one that’s headed your way is this all-over “Leopard” makeup.
As you can probably infer from its moniker the Panthera pardus-inspired patterns are the focal point here as they wrap a majority of the shoes’ top half in their natural muted beige and black hues. Solid black accents are ushered in though the diamond-shaped tongue and heel tabs, overlays that rest on the heels and toe tips and the mesh lining while a translucent cage sprawls throughout the upper and extends onto the midsole pieces. A subtle-yet-vivid pop of bold orange also appears inside the exposed Air units down below.
There’s no word on when these will be officially dropping to the public, but you can likely expect them to release in the coming months via Nike for $135 USD.
For other news in footwear, a Nike Dunk Low “Light Smoke Grey” has appeared.
