A.P.C. Enlists Jessica Ogden For New Textural Quilt Interaction
Featuring a unique sewn logo and a hometown-inspired pineapple motif.
A.P.C. has reunited with longtime collaborator Jessica Ogden for its latest Interaction, featuring a selection of repurposed, quilted garments intending to reduce waste.
Ogden worked with A.P.C.’s founder Jean Touitou to breed second life to old fabrics by tapping into her own ready-to-wear line with signature themes of quilting, denim, patchwork, plaid and smock details. Among standout textures, her latest A.P.C. range employs oversized tops, 80s-cut jeans, mid-calf skirts and sailor ribbons for a mutual meshing of both labels.
“It was only a matter of time before Jessica Ogden would participate in the A.P.C. Interactions,” a press release reads. “Jean Touitou began these capsules as a way of working with friends of A.P.C. and Jessica has become like family since she began working with A.P.C.”
Elsewhere, the collection boasts a pineapple motif nodding to Ogden’s hometown of Ocho Rios, Jamaica, as well as a unique logo crafted with needle and thread, an ode to Ogden’s love for sewing.
The brand previously worked with Ogden on a “Round 20” collection of quilts and cushions, which largely incorporated a zig-zag motif in various colors and sought inspiration from songs by Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground.
Ogden’s A.P.C. Interaction will release imminently on the brand’s website. Take a look at the collaboration above.
