Following on from NIGO‘s star-studded KENZO Fall/Winter 2022 runway show and the first and second drops from his Spring/Summer 2022 capsules, the Japanese designer is back with his third KENZO SS22 drop “Denim Boke Flower.”

Delivering the most comprehensive capsule collection to date, “Denim Boke Flower” plays on two key signatures of both KENZO and NIGO. The former is a flower coined by the new Creative Director for his collection, becoming a house staple, while denim is the bread and butter of NIGO’s work.

For the third seasonal drop, the two combine for eight pieces of womenswear and seven pieces of menswear — however, the collection is largely unisex. Denim blousons sport embroidered boke flowers on the rear, while denim jackets find the same design sewn onto the chest pockets, reflecting the striped cotton shirt.

Likewise, denim trousers and knee-length skirts also sport the floral motif on their pockets, as do the oversized T-shirts and relaxed T-shirts with further pocket detailing. As per usual, the collection references Kenzo Takada and revolves around natural elements that defined the brand’s legacy, representing feelings and a Japanese sensibility that makes NIGO the right man for the job.

NIGO’s third SS22 KENZO drop can be seen above and will land in stores, at selected retailers such as Dover Street Market, and online on April 2.
